At Pinegrove Cabin

I'm posting this from Pinegrove Cabin, the timeshare near Pagosa Springs, Colorado in which my in-laws invested almost thirty years ago. (See my earlier post about it from January.) It will be an annoyingly short stay--we drove up last night and will drive home tomorrow afternoon--but, well, we're here. The kids have been in the river, which is running higher and colder than normal, and we'll be going into town this afternoon for our usual extended shopping jaunt--food store, candy store, outdoor store, Alco, and the malt shoppe. (Thankfully, we'll be skipping our usual drive to Treasure Falls and the overlook located up the road from the falls.) This is actually Dorine's brother Don's week, but he and his wife Margarita invited the rest of us to come up. Kristy and Chris (and kids) are here, along with Devery and Easton, Kiley, and Don and Margarita's daughter Rosita. This photo, taken a half-hour ago, shows me (and Chris) on the deck. I look forward to taking a long walk later with Dorine, and maybe we'll put together a puzzle and watch a movie tonight.

Next week is girls' camp -- oh, joy!
