Dorine and I drove down to Puerto PeƱasco, Sonora, Mexico, recently for what has become our annual (fourth straight) summer trip there.  Devery's in-laws, Steve and Jeannie Hamblin, invited us to spend time there with them during their allotted time at Casa Alhaja, a very nice beach-front property in the relatively ritzy enclave of Las Conchas.  We traveled with both Devery and Easton (and their kids) and with Kiley (and her new baby Joey), whose husband Sam was in Alabama doing Air Force officers' training in preparation for starting medical school on an Air Force scholarship.  We sort of missed having more of our family there, but spending time with the Hamblins in PP is always enjoyable, and we got to spend five nights (June 11-15) there on this trip, which somewhat compensated for the eleven-hour drive required to get there from Albuquerque.  It's still slightly intimidating to drive into Mexico -- especially when you come upon a roadblock manned by scary-looking federales -- but I enjoy it there, despite my not being an "ocean" person.
